Projects

  • Stochastic Assignment Models in Transportation Engineering

Development of stochastic assignment models for private and public transportation networks, incorporating uncertainty in demand and travel costs. Simulations were implemented to evaluate urban planning strategies and optimize vehicle flow in transportation systems.

  • Public Transportation Microsimulation in Transportation Engineering

Designed and developed a microsimulation plugin to analyze different bus stop and exclusive lane configurations in public transportation systems. Implemented visualizations and generated performance metrics for transport planning.

  • Slump Detection in Remote Sensing

Developed a GIS-based system using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 images to identify informal settlements. Processed satellite imagery on AWS and applied spatial classification techniques for automated urban change detection.

  • Data Processing Pipeline – Catalog Crossmatch in Astroinformatics

Implemented a data processing infrastructure for astronomical classification and catalog crossmatching. Developed algorithms for large-scale dataset comparisons using alerts from telescopes like ZTF and Vera Rubin. Leveraged technologies such as Spark, Kafka, and HPC to handle vast amounts of data efficiently.
